Welcome

There are plenty of gaming blogs out there. Who really needs another moron debating the strengths the XBOX 360 vs the PS3 ? Or over-hyping the next title. Nothing wrong with it I guess, but there's really no point is there.

I'm not really sure about the rest of the world, but here in South Africa, economic factors have us gamers really feeling the pinch. It's forced many of us to be selective about our gaming purchases.

So the aim of this blog is simple. To hunt the bargain bins, do some clever trading and recommending good bargains.

Primarily I'll be reviewing older games that are still worth looking at if you missed it. A game will be reviewed if one criteria is made; the game cost me less than R300. I think the point is to compare them to current games and tell you if the R300 will be well spent or if you're better off saving up for the big thing.

For now, I'll be reviewing 360 games only, but will hopefully get some contributors to review for some other platforms.

The rating system is simple.

5 - Excellent - Forget about that over-hyped new title you're waiting for. It's still a must-have by today's standards.
4 - Good - Really good for it's time. Expect slightly dated graphics. Still worth playing. Find time to play it before the sequel comes out.
3 - Not bad, but you can skip it. Play if there's nothing good coming out, or if you're just too broke to get the shiny new stuff.
2 - Mediocre. If you're really bored/broke, it's not a bad way to spend the R50 to rent it for a weekend.
1 - Bad. Don't bother. Actually, forget i mentioned the title.

Anyway, that's all from me. Look forward some interesting retrospective reviews.
